For those keeping score at home, 2017 was a rebuilding year for Chapter 21... we finished 5 and 5 (on our goals); still not good enough to get into the playoffs. But, there's always next year...

With the administrative, tax and legal issues addressed in 2017, we can look forward to "doing the fun stuff" in the new year, as Earl Schroeder once reminded us.

High winds and weather were significant challenges this year - from the first Young Eagles event at EVV to the cancellation of many First Saturday Fly-Ins at EHR and scrubbing our planned Fly-Out to WPAFB, we appropriately cancelled a number of planned events. No apologies here.

In 2018, we will be launching a number of initiatives including: a membership drive, IMC Club, a fundraising drive and continuing our partnerships with the Skylane Pilots Association, Evansville Flying Club and Don Davis Aviation.

We will also be changing the format of the monthly meetings. I hope to bring in more outside speakers to 3EV in the second half of the year and to continue our focus on safety and proficiency.

In closing, I want to remind everyone that we have a number of Board positions open. Please consider volunteering your time in this regard.
