I encourage everyone to file a complaint with the FCC regarding the interference airborne aircraft experience on short final to runway 4 at Evansville/Dress Regional Airport while tuned to tower frequency 118.7 For those of you completing instrument currency or training, you will frequently experience this ground based interference while on short final to Runway 4. Although the loss of comm is typically between 12 - 20 seconds (depending upon your approach speed), it does represent a significant safety of flight issue due to the possibility of missing a go around or traffic conflict call from KEVV ATCT.
